Simply put: burning a disc.
Duplication is the process of copying music or data onto recordable CDs or DVDs. We offer duplication runs between 10 and 499 discs. If you’re after 500 or more, it’ll be more cost effective to use our replication process.
Why duplication?
Small quantities, fast turnaround.
Duplicated CDs or DVDs are perfect for low quantity, fast turnaround orders. Coupled with our unbeatable short-run cardboard printing options, you can get great looking product in no time, no sweat!
The burning process
We only use A-grade blank media and verify each disc.
Implant’s CDs can fit 700mb or 80 minutes of audio. Our disc burners produce audio discs that are compliant with the Red Book standard and data discs that are compliant with the Yellow Book standard. To ensure the integrity of your content, every CD is burned at x16 speed then verified.
We can produce DVD-R single layer (DVD-5) or DVD+R dual layer (DVD-9) DVDs. DVD-5 discs can fit up to 4.7GB of data. DVD-9 discs can fit up to 8.5GB of data. To ensure the integrity of your content, every disc is burned at x8 speed then verified.
For Blu-Ray, we use BD-R single layer discs (25Gb). We’re happy to supply 50Gb BDs,
however the minimum order is 1000 discs. To ensure the integrity of your content, every Blu-
Ray is burned at x4 speed then verified.
We print your artwork on CDs and DVDs with a white, printable coating (no stickers!). Our high resolution inkjet printers produce clear, bright, vibrant colours. Alternatively, we can thermal print black text onto shiny, silver discs. This is a more cost-effective option and is popular for simple and practical promo CDs.
We offer 3 price levels of printing:
- Black text: black text or basic black logo on a silver or white disc
- Basic print: up to 1/3 of the disc surface printed black or full colour
- Full print: more than 1/3 of the disc surface printed black or full colour
For an added layer of protection, the printed disc can be coated with a protective, UV-cured lacquer. This UV coating also gives the disc an eye-popping glossy finish. We recommend it for dark coloured or bright, vibrant artwork.
